We need your help.
We have developed supportive "service-learning" programs where partners like you can volunteer to share their time and talents with a young person or adult, helping them translate your life-longer work experiences into real-world hands-on learning.
What is Service Learning?
"Service-learning incorporates community work and hands-on application into the curriculum, giving students real-world learning experiences that enhance their academic learning while providing a tangible benefit for the community".
What your efforts can accomplish?
Volunteering is an American tradition that has made an immeasurable contribution to communities, organizations, and individuals throughout the country. Today's volunteers are active, dynamic, and creative individuals who possess the skills, desire, patience, and time to accomplish a wide variety of tasks. Your volunteer service will shape the life of a person for years to come and with your help, we will create a long-term, dedicated pool of volunteers which will further our nationwide efforts.

Our request
Your volunteer efforts will provide support for and strengthen projects like "YouthBuild", "Train-to-Gain" and "Welfare-to-Work". If you indicate an interest, we will provide you with specific information and suggest appropriate actions when the need arises for you to become involved. Your level of participation will always be your choice.
Our pledge to you
You will hear from us regularly, but only on matters of direct concern to our mission, and when we reasonably believe you can make a difference. We are not asking you for a monetary contribution yet, only a contribution of your time. You can choose your level of participation and your area of participation. Be assured, we work with the government in a non-partisan, non-adversarial way to affect change for education. We strive to develop new educational tools and partnerships.
