Governor signs virtual schools bill into law...COLUMBIA, SC (AP) - South Carolina students can take classes not offered at their school and earn graduation credits online under an expansion of the state's Virtual Schools Program signed by the governor in a ceremony Thursday. He says students in Estill, for example, could take Advanced Placement courses not offered at their school. The technology was put to use right away. Students at the Governor's School for Science and Mathematics in Hartsville watched the signing through an internet simulcast.
